What Does The Future Hold?

Is it time for a change?

The holidays are here and often what tends to bring the most overwhelm is the looming New Year. We start wondering, what’s next? Will it be the same or can I create something different?

We often place such high expectations on the New Year to change things but are we focused on creating this intention on our own? If so, then why do so many fail at staying committed?

A few reasons based on research are:

  • they’re not ready to truly make a change

  • procrastination sets in

  • lack of a sustainable plan

  • aren’t clear on the direction or what they really want

So what can we do to ensure we can create a “sustainable” intention for the new year?

Here are a few proven tips that have helped my clients create and achieve the change they desired:

  • take the time to write out what you want more of in your life and what you want less of

  • what are the top 1-3 things you want to achieve?

  • list what are the key things that have to happen for this to be attained?

  • what is ONE action point you can do each day or week towards making this happen?

  • Ask a friend to keep you accountable for each step

  • keep track and celebrate each step once completed

Have FUN with this. It is an adventure and a journey to create something new and so rewarding when done with the right intention.
